CLIF is a well-established and well-known brand, but in recent years, they have been pushed aside for being filled with too much sugar. Consumers tend to reach for healthier and newer brands. This ad intends to reinforce CLIF's origins as an energy bar, not a health bar. The headline "Live Life on the Edge" speaks directly to the adventurous nature of the brand, and the body copy presents the bar as a convenient option for a quick energy boost.
